Directors Meghan Gilson Grilliot, Ben Millefolie and Brooke Glanzman seek a cast of actors for Why Do We Laugh? (Adults and Children) and Aesop’s Fables Redux (Actors aged 8-17 only). **Actors should come prepared to read from the script. No actors paid.**
“Why Do We Laugh” – A story that follows Andrew and Meredith from their time as young friends into their golden years as husband and wife. It is a sweet, endearing tale of friendship and love; the good times and the bad; and everything in between. Director Meghan Grilliot seeks the following actors to play Andrew and Meredith at each stage of their life: Child Andrew and Meredith (actors should be 10-14 years old), Teenaged Andrew and Meredith (actors should be 14-18 years old), Adult Andrew and Meredith (actors should be in their 30’s-40’s) and Older Adult Andrew and Meredith (actors should be 55+).
“Aesop’s Fables Redux” – A witty narrator helps an inquisitive child understand some famous expressions by exploring Aesop’s beloved fables. The lessons behind these expressions are playfully illustrated through a series of the well-known stories, and brought to life by a variety of human and animal characters. These classic fables, such as The Boy Who Cried Wolf and The Goose That Laid the Golden Egg,provide a fresh, warm, and fun learning experience. Brooke Glanzman and Ben Millefolie will take the lead in directing this show (Heather Miles will be mentoring).
