After months of hard work by our executive board, BLT has finally received word that our paperwork has been approved and we are an official 501(c)(3) non-profit entity. We are so excited because now all donations and gifts will be tax deductible. We are hoping that this opens many doors for us as we continue to strive to make The Broken Leg Theater a fun, free place for everyone to express themselves through the art of theatre. If you’d like to help us realize our dreams, please click on the “Make A Donation” tab and consider a gift to BLT today!
As we approach the 2014-2015 season, the Executive Board at BLT would like to let you know where we stand. We are currently still working very diligently at filing our non-profit paperwork, we are working toward being ready to stage our October Night of Broadway production, and we are setting everything into place so that we can begin our first season on a good note. Many of you have asked how you can help BLT get started. It takes a lot of cash to start a project like this, and we’d like to share with you our short-term financial goals. We are hoping to raise: 1. $400 to apply for 501(c)3 non-profit status with the IRS. 2. $1,000 to stage our first production in October 3. $200 for fees and incidentals We would welcome any cash gifts you would like to give. At this time BLT is not a 501(c)3 non-profit, therefore donations are not currently tax deductible.
